Bill Andrakakos is the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Aaron Wealth Advisors. In his role, Bill is primarily responsible for all investment related activities including the implementation and maintenance of investment strategies, sourcing of opportunistic offerings, ongoing analysis of client portfolios and production of proprietary research. In addition, he oversees the firm’s compliance functions. Bill is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder as well as a Certified Financial Risk Manager® (FRM). He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics from Saint Louis University along with a Certificate in Business Management.

He began his career as a portfolio analyst for a Registered Investment Advisor in the Washington, D.C. area primarily serving high-net-worth individuals, executive compensation plans, and employee retirement plans. Bill then relocated to Chicago where he held many roles within Deutsche Bank – first working as a Sales Consultant and then moving into the Investment Strategy group covering Equities and Real Assets. Most recently, he helped build the Product Management/Strategy Group at Northern Trust Asset Management.

Bill is an avid reader, cook, and traveler. He enjoys all sports, especially rugby which he has played for most of his life. As an active alumni member and Hall of Fame inductee of the Saint Louis University Rugby Club, Bill works to continue the charitable missions that he helped establish during his tenure. In one such case, he launched a partnership between the club and the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, whose mission is to improve the lives of children suffering from pediatric brain tumors by pairing them and their families with a local sports program. In addition, he coordinated an annual fundraiser for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which raises money to fund research into cures for childhood cancers. Bill looks forward to furthering his involvement within this community in the Chicago area.
